A Grounded Approach to Alcohol and Performance

If you track sleep, HRV, or how you feel the next morning, alcohol is usually the biggest variable you don't control for. Gush doesn't promise to cancel that out — no product does, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What the research actually shows is narrower and more useful: taken 20-30 minutes before your first drink, Korean pear juice supports the enzymes (ADH/ALDH) that process alcohol, which in a 2013 human trial (PubMed) measurably reduced next-day hangover severity and improved concentration and memory scores.

For anyone treating their body like a system worth optimizing, that's a legitimate lever: a whole-food intervention, timed correctly, with a real human trial behind it — plus the hydration and electrolytes a capsule-only stack can't offer.
