The quick version: a festival is an endurance event. Sun, crowds, little sleep, and multiple long days stacked back to back — the people who make it to the headliner on night three are the ones who paced from the start.
The packing list
- Refillable water bottle and electrolyte packets
- Sunscreen, hat, and earplugs
- Portable charger and a small first-aid kit
- Comfortable, broken-in shoes
- Gush pouches — one for each day, sipped before you start drinking
Hydration and sleep are the whole game
You can't out-party dehydration and no sleep. Drink water constantly, eat real meals even when you're not hungry, and protect whatever sleep you can get — alcohol already fragments it, and festivals make it worse.
Pace across days, not just hours
Think about the whole weekend, not just tonight. A pre-drink each day gives your body a head start on processing alcohol so you're not compounding damage day over day. The prevention playbook applies double at a multi-day event.
